Meet the Doctor
| The Doctors |
Dr. Robert Langone is originally from Springfield, Massachusetts. He is a 1968 graduate of Tech High. Dr. Langone completed his undergraduate work at STCC and AIC. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from NYCC, where he served as president of the class of 1980, and earned a place in the “Who’s Who of American Colleges and Universities.” He established general practice in Old Saybrook, CT, and served as clinic director of the Healing Arts Center of Mystic. In 1987, he studied at the Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Mainland China. The science of pain management and well care is evolving rapidly. New drugs, nuclear-medicine and arthroscopic surgery have revolutionized the practice of medicine. Your M.D. is no longer just the pill/potion pusher your grandparents remember. By the same token, Chiropractic has evolved to the subtleties of neuromuscular and neurochemical imbalances. Dr Langone's practice emphasizes cutting edge therapies in neuromuscular and neurochemical pain management without the use on drugs or surgery. For over 25 years, Dr. Langone has maintained the highest standard of care for his patients. He spends many hours each month in postgraduate studies and research. His protocols combine state of the art chiropractic care with nutrition, deep tissue and cold laser therapies, kinesiology, and health management technologies to personalize a full recovery for those cases he accepts. He is passionate and committed to helping people avoid having to live through the same health problems we have seen our parents and elders suffer with. Dr. Langone’s patients are most often chronic and difficult cases—those having lived with pain for months or years such as; neck/shoulder pain, low back/leg pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, headaches as well as pain due to auto injuries. Dr. Langone explains: “Most medical efforts target the symptoms a patient suffers from. Often it works fine, and the problem is solved. Other times it sets in motion a rollercoaster of frustration, pain and pills. Trying a new medication or a new exercise, while offering hope, will just not be enough." Dr. Langone is a member of the Doctor’s Speakers Bureau and donates his time to lecture throughout New England. Topics include: neck and back pain, migraines, fibromyalgia as well as nutrition. Injury prevention presentations are cusomized for business and industry. Dr. Vincenzo is our resident canine. His degree is in unconditional love and healing. He specializes in clinic greetings, playing, sniffing and cuddling. His postgraduate work has focused on putting a smile on everyone’s face and warming worried hearts. Dr. Vinnie says, “if Dr. Langone can help you, he will tell you. If he does not feel that he can help, he will tell you that, too; then refer you to someone who can. Always taking the time to answer all of your questions and explain examination findings.” Somewhere between Dr. Vinnie’s 8 pounds of fluffy greeting, and the cup of tea that you will be offered when you enter our clinic, you will know that you have come to a place that cares about you. |
